Chichen Itza- Archaeological site in Mexico

The beautiful name Chichen Itza comes with the meaning “At the mouth of the well of Itza”. Christ the Redeemer- Statue of Jesus Christ in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, 

It is a statue of the Jesus Christ which is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Its height is 39.6 meters and a weight of 635 tons. The statue stands at a height of about 700 meters on the famous Carcovado Mountain, in the Tijuca forest National Park. This symbol of Rio de Janeiro as well as Christianity has been built out of soapstone and reinforced concrete.

The site is well recognized for its exceptional rock cut architecture and was built by the Nabataea’s as their capital. The geography of Petra has given the place a strong protection like that of a fortress. The people of the place built dams as a means of water conservation.

Taj Mahal – Mausoleum in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India

This embodiment of love stands beautifully in the city of Agra, India. It was built by the renowned Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this historical building took a total of twenty one years. It was built on the basis of Mughal architecture which is further a combination of Islamic, Indian and Persian architecture.

Giza Pyramid Complex- Archaeological site in Egypt

The Giza Pyramid Complex or the Giza Necropolis incorporates three pyramids known as the Great Pyramids and a gigantic sculpture termed as the Sphinx. This entire complex is located around 8 kms form the city of Giza and about 25 kilometres southwest to the city of Cairo. The biggest pyramid is also termed as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Great Pyramid of Giza or the Pyramid of Chepos. A total army of around 35,000 labourers have been believed to build the pyramid.
